Trump 'the last President of the United States' warns new documentary

Many of Moore's prior movies caused a stir, but that was before the omnipresence of social media, Since we're all constantly drowning in the never-ending news cycle of Trump's latest idiotic statement or decision, I'm not sure how effective this film can be. At one point, Moore is left speechless when an angry white man pledges to commit violence for seemingly indiscernible reasons. And even if it does contain some massive revelation, Moore himself said it right there: by now Trump has built his entire presidency on statements that would have gotten anyone else kicked out of Washington, so why would we ever believe that he'll get taken down by a documentary? It's in theaters September 21.

In an interview with HuffPost, Moore describes Trump as an "evil genius" and speaks to the potential power of his new film.

"Moore told HuffPost that he hopes the film exposes the "grave danger" posed by Trump".

The new documentary will premiere at this year's Toronto Film Festival before a USA release on September 21.

He also added that journalism schools do not teach students how to handle an "authoritarian leader" and hopes that this film shows viewers the "danger" of President Trump where the execution of their jobs is concerned.

He emphasizes that having "hope" alone is passive, saying our nation should not rely on this to solve our problems. "Our media has no idea what it is up against".

In the trailer for "Fahrenheit 11/9", a reference to the first day after the president's election win, he poses the question: "How the f**k did this happen?" "Hope, and the passivity that comes with it, is what helped get us here to begin with".

Following Fahrenheit 11/9's TIFF world premiere, the film will debut in the United States on September 21st.
