‘Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’ Bundle Includes a GameCube Controller

After confronting the reality that Luigi's death is now, per lore, a part of Super Smash Bros.

Legendary game worlds and fighters collide in the ultimate showdown: a new entry in the Super Smash Bros. series for the Nintendo Switch system!

His Final Smash is the Grand Cross and his stage is Dracula's Castle, which will have candles that contain items and 34 music tracks from the long-running adventure series. King K. Rool, a frequent foe of Donkey Kong, is joining the roster. Simon's descendant Richter will appear as an echo fighter, as will Dark Samus of Metroid fame.

The game will feature 103 stages, or 100 if Battlefield/Big Battlefield/Final Destination are excluded, and all stages are unlocked from the start.

Nintendo also sold adapters for the Wii U's Super Smash Bros. title. Haha, yeah, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, but it wouldn't be hard to also sneak in a new Switch exclusive Castlevania annoucement as well. A series mainstay gets a playmate, and fans have finally been given a classic character a long-time conspicuous by his absence. Ultimate intends to literally be the "ultimate" version of this, it's fitting that they'd have more options than you can shake a stick at. Looking forlornly at the staggering surplus of console and PC games yet to be played, he laments the long-ago days of only being able to buy one $70 32-megabyte cartridge and playing it until his hands ached. On the trapped-in-a-tiny-ball side of things, Ultimate will add the Alolan forms of Eggsecutor (which is an impractically tall palm tree) and Vulpix (which breathes ice, not fire) among many others. There's even a completely new mode of gameplay which Sakurai teased but did not reveal.

As expected, the stream chat blew up in a series of hype and shock, as King K.Rool, despite being among the most requested character to ever join the franchise, always had compelling arguments against his inclusion.

There's plenty of time to make those extra reveals too, as Super Smash Bros Ultimate won't be here until December 7. Let us know down below!
