Google Pixel 3 XL Unboxed: Here’s the Key Specs

Before that, we saw leaked press renders. While most smartphone makers are going for 2 or 3 cameras, the Pixel 3 XL still comes with a single rear shooter.

According to screenshots, this is the Google Pixel 3 XL, and it runs an Adreno 630 GPU in a Qualcomm Snapdragon system-on-chip. There's a large camera sensor in its corner (just one), accompanied by an LED flash, and a round fingerprint scanner in its center. Instead of the brighter Orange on the Pixel 2, Google has gone for a more subtle green. Lucky for us, we've got a few photos shared as well. Additionally, both Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are expected to support wireless charging.

Does speedy software updates make up for Google's odd design choices?

With the phone actually turned on and working, we get to learn a bit more about it.

What do you think about the Pixel 3 XL and its XL sized notched display up front? These pictures confirm that the notch is about twice as tall as other notch designs. For now, the OS is "Android 9", although it would not be surprising to see that change to Android 9.1 in time for release-Google usually cooks up a x.1 release specifically for its phones.

Google's launch of the Pixel 3 phones is leaking worse than a Samsung launch at this stage, with a retail box containing a "Clearly White" coloured handset leaking overnight. There seems to be a plastic box in the middle of the headphone cord, which might be for an in-line remote. You can connect them with the included 3.5mm adapter as Pixel 3 won't have a headphone jack just like the previous iteration. It isn't clear if Google will release this in Malaysia so you'll probably need to turn to grey importers if you're interested.
