Woman helps man short on cash, finds out he’s Keith Urban

A woman who thought she was helping a down-and-out man pay for his food at a bowser in the U.S. ended up footing the bill for country music star Keith Urban.

The singer had a concert in the Philadelphia area last Friday, but he first stopped by a Wawa in Medford, New Jersey. When the customer in front of her Friday at Wawa was having an issue at the register, she jumped at the opportunity to help. "I didn't think he had enough money to pay for his things so I said I would pay for it and briefly when he told me who he was and I didn't believe it was him", she explained to CBS3, a local news outlet. Little did she know that man was country music star Keith Urban. Even thought it was Urban, Reed says she thought he was just a lookalike since he was with a woman other than Oscar-winning wife Nicole Kidman.

"It was then I realized what an idiot I was", Reed told NBC.

Unsurprisingly, her photo with Urban outsider the convenience store quickly went viral among fans of the crooner.

"And he said, 'What's your name?' Ruth". She overheard Urban ask a companion for $5 and said he looked like he could use some help.

She was finally convinced after noticing bodyguards.

As Reed was paying, she thought the stranger looked familiar. "And who was that woman you were with?"

"And I just fell apart, fell apart", she said.

But Reed was suspicious and said she got a little "snippy" with him.

"And he really could have said, 'Lady, get away from me!'" she said.
