The Australian and New Zealand firefighters who arrived in the US last weekend to help fight the wildfires spreading throughout the country have been deployed to blazes in Northern California and OR, the National Interagency Fire Center said Monday. The River and Ranch fires had grown to cover about 82,675 hectares by Saturday night, and were considered 32 percent contained, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire). "Must also tree clear to stop fire from spreading!"

"We feel like we're doing pretty good above Lucerne and Nice, but there is still a lot of potential, and we're using a lot of aircraft to hold (the fire) in place", he continued.

Elsewhere in California, evacuations were ordered for cabins in Cleveland National Forest canyons in Orange County on Monday afternoon after a blaze broke out and quickly spread to blacken some 700 acres (283 hectares).

A couple of fast-growing wildfires in northern California expanded to more than two-thirds the size of sprawling Los Angeles as more residents were ordered to evacuate their homes and tired firefighters endured high temperatures and gusting winds.

Together, the fires haves destroyed 75 homes and 68 other structures, while threatening more than 9,300 others. Jerry Brown (D) "must allow the Free Flow of the vast amounts of water coming from the North".

The Mendocino Complex fires have swelled to become larger than the deadly Carr Fire, about 160 km to the northeast, which has killed at least six people and destroyed more than 1,500 structures.

More than 3,700 firefighting personnel are battling the Mendocino Complex, one of about 17 wildfires burning in the state. "It is being diverted into the Pacific Ocean", Trump wrote.

Deputy fire chief Mr Mclean dismissed Mr Trump's comments to USA media, saying firefighters had "plenty of water" to tackle these wildfires. "That's what we're trying to prevent", Austin said.

The president's comment comes after he said Sunday that too much water from the northern part of the state is being wasted by flowing into the Pacific Ocean.

It says 59-year-old Steven Bell, 29-year-old Travis Bell and 41-year-old Gary Wertheimer were arrested on suspicion of interfering with firefighters and not having authorization to be in an evacuation zone. The rivers and lakes from which fire crews get water to drop on fires are full.

Over the weekend, the White House approved a disaster declaration for Shasta County, allowing affected residents from the Carr Fire to apply for federal disaster assistance such as temporary housing, home repairs and other programs.

The fire surpassed the Thomas Fire, which burned 281,893 acres in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties in 2017, as prime weather conditions are expected to persist. Last August, JBLM soldiers gave support in battling blazes in northern California, said Army Lt. Col. Jamie Davis, a Pentagon spokesman.
