Barcelona offer Mina, Gomes and £50m for Paul Pogba

Manchester United will make a decision over potentially selling Paul Pogba to Barcelona over the course of the next 24 to 36 hours, it has been claimed in Italy.

The player is yet to return to United from holiday following the 2018 FIFA World Cup, but there is now some doubt as to whether he will return at all.

It seems inconceivable that United would let go of their record signing, and Pogba's camp accept it will be hard to complete a deal before the transfer window closes.

Pogba endured a turbulent time at Old Trafford last season.

Pogba shone for France in the World Cup as the 25-year-old re-established himself as one of the world's best midfielders after a frustrating season for United.

Pogba made 37 appearances in all competitions for Manchester United last season.

"This season, especially after the World Cup that he's had, he's going to start expressing himself a lot more".

It was reported yesterday that Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola, has reassured Barcelona that he will get Paul Pogba to move to the Nou Camp.

Instead of praising Pogba's performances, Mourinho urged him to "understand" why he had done so well in Russian Federation and appeared to suggest the player lacked the same focus for his club. Because it's closed for a month, where he can only think about football. While rumours will probably persist until the transfer window closes, it is doubtful that we will see the French midfielder move clubs this summer.

Harry Maguire, Jerome Boateng, Toby Alderweireld and Yerry Mina have all been linked with a switch to Old Trafford.
