Use Spotify Songs as Alarm on Google Clock for Android

Many Android devices come with the Google Clock app preinstalled, and it can also be downloaded from the Google Play store. When the alarm goes off you'll hear the selected music.

Apple pulled back the curtain somewhat on its Apple Music streaming service, releasing numbers that firmly establish it as the number-two music streaming platform, behind only Spotify.

Google has announced the Clock app now supports Spotify.

Update, July 31 at 12:00 p.m. ET: Google confirmed to 9to5Google that YouTube Music integration will be added to the Google Clock app in the future. The tab shows your recently played music, Spotify's curated playlists, and a search button so you can find anything you want. You also don't have to be a Spotify Premium user to benefit from this update, as it's something both premium and free users will be getting.

Clock apps are probably the least exciting thing to talk about, but without a doubt, one of the best ones is the official Google Clock.

It works for any Android phone running Android 5.0 (Lollipop) and upwards.

On the Spotify option, users can select music from a variety of pre-made morning themed Spotify playlists or pick music that they have listened to on Spotify.

A new update that started rolling out yesterday will allow Spotify users to wake up to their favourite songs when using the alarm feature in the Google Clock app. When you stop the alarm, you can choose to continue playing and listening to the songs. The team Google-Spotify has brought the useful function for Android users providing the users to use favorite songs in place of age-old alarms.
