Raptor-powered Ford F-150 Limited coming for 2019

Beyond the engine, the F-150 Limited packs a laundry list of upscale touches, including leather-wrapped instrument and door panels, cooled seats, special wood trim, a suede headliner, multi-contour seats and a new-for-2019 interior colour combination - Camel Black, as Ford calls it.

The 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 has been the premium engine in the Ford F-150 since the 2011 model year, but when the current Raptor was introduced, a new, high-output EcoBoost was added to the lineup. That's more than enough to make it the most powerful truck in its class, upstaging Chevrolet and GMC's V8 models that make as much as 420 horsepower. The new mechanics will be supplemented by a dual exhaust integrated in the rear bumper. With the arrival of the 2019 model year, the 450-horsepower EcoBoost will be far more readily available in the high-volume Limited package, bringing Raptor power to more buyers. This will be the only engine offered on the Limited trim. Each F-150 Limited gets a laser-etched plaque on the center console armrest with its serial number. Power deploy running boards, remote start, tailgate release, and a twin-panel moonroof are standard.

The Limited gains a new sport exhaust system with twin tailpipes to help handle all 450 horsepower of its new engine.

On the technology front, the latest F-150 Limited gains adaptive cruise control, pre-collision assist, active park assist, and lane keep assist as standard. Expect Sync 3 with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well Wi-Fi access for up to 10 devices.
