The new footage demonstrates a prison riot in the legendary Marvel prison The Raft, along with a who's who of Spider-Man's rogues gallery, including Electro, Scorpion, Vulture, Mr Negative and Rhino.

Prior to the Los Angeles show, Sony had revealed that at its press conference, it would concentrate on first-party or exclusive blockbusters the Last Of Us Part II, Spider-Man and Death Stranding, but beyond those games, it did have a few surprises up its sleeve. First announced at E3 two years ago, Sony has been teasing it ever since. Spoiler alert: it kind of looks like Arkham, but we're okay with that. Much of that is highlighted in the latest trailer.

What is Ghost of Tsushima and when does it come out? It definitely feels like a Sucker Punch game, from the character animations and ability to clamber up the scenery, through to the finer details of the visual style. It's clear to see that Ghost of Tsushima is really nailing a distinct and cinematic aesthetic, instantly evoking romanticised imagery from classic samurai movies. The battle against Masako was an excellent twist, changing nearly to a side-scrolling fighting game like Soulcalibur for a few moments, while the world around them continued to evolve.

It didn't take me long to start putting together stylish combos with Spidey's plethora of different moves, and I can't wait to see what other techniques I'll be able to use in the final game.

Spider-Man is not only taking over our big screens - in both animated and live-action form - but our video game screens.

At the moment there is no release date for Ghost of Tsushima but we hope to hear more about the very unique title throughout the rest of year.
