E3 2018: Fortnite is releasing tomorrow on Nintendo Switch

A representative at Epic Games said players on Nintendo Switch will be able to compete against players on Xbox One, PC, Mac, and mobile devices. They have yet to respond to the situation. At the very least, Epic Games should be addressing the issue in short notice. "At Nintendo, we approach development with the goal of making new and unique games to delight and surprise people".

Fortnite has proven itself to be extremely popular and profitable on the iOS family. Epic accounts on PS4 are tied to PSN usernames.

If you do try this, an error message from Epic Games pops up, explaining: "This Fortnite account is associated with a platform which does not allow it to operate on Switch". So, basically, it will have all of the world's gaming platforms covered and will be available to pretty much any gamer that wants to interact with the battle royale title.

While a Switch port of Fortnite was more or less an inevitability given the game's massive success, rumors of an E3 release started swirling earlier this month when a listing for the game appeared on the Korean Ratings Board website. Doing the opposite greets you with, "The Epic Account you tried to link can not play on this platform".

During Nintendo's Direct today, Fortnite was officially revealed for the Nintendo Switch. Accounts syncing is one of the main appeals of Fortnite, and Sony is taking that away from players.
