Bethesda Confirms Development of "Starfield", a New Sci-Fi Franchise

If you're die-hard for the Fallout games, I'm sure you've already put in you pre-order although there's now no release date yet.

Unfortunately, hopes and dreams were quickly deflated when Halo franchise development director Frank O'Connor popped in to confirm that, unfortunately, Halo 5 PC is not a thing.

There are three different play modes.

Starfield is a next generation single player epic, and Bethesda's first original IP in 25 years. Aside from that, we know next to nothing officially about Starfield just yet, ranging from its release timeframe to even release platforms.

Oh yes, the sequel to Doom is coming.

Speaking of games that aren't coming out any time soon, Bethesda also shared a short teaser trailer for The Elder Scrolls VI, which may or may not be set in the land of Hammerfell. Both Starfield and Scrolls are much further out, with the early reveal potentially being a means to combat the inevitable leaks that have already swamped the internet over the years, and will no doubt have ramped up alongside the production of both games. But we've also heard rumors that it would be a game to connect the Bethesda-verse, and include the worlds of both Fallout and The Elder Scrolls.

Speaking with Eurogamer, Phil Spencer confirmed that he announced the next Xbox console to show that Microsoft is committed to video game consoles and how players playing great console games are critical to the company's success.

At its heart, "Blades" at its heart is a pure Elder Scrolls game, the company said when it announced the title.

The Elder Scrolls 6 is a while away from hitting the shelves. Fans of the fantasy RPG series have been waiting a long, long time for this news as Skyrim, the previous entry in series, was released way back in 2011. In the old model of games shipping, getting played and then going away - and that was all of the games - a console transition was an easy step-function. Prey: Mooncrash adds new game modes, including a semi-roguelike mode that randomizes enemy encounters, hazards, and equipment on every playthrough. That particular product is actually real, and it's playable on Amazon Echo devices and mobile phones.
