Assassin's Creed Odyssey Leak Reveals Romance, Release Date, More

We already had a chance to play the new game for a few hours and experienced many of its features.

Reports indicate Odyssey will have RPG mechanics that give players more control over their stories and journeys. Or will you adopt a true pirate's life and betray your fellow players, making off with all of the loot yourself?

Assassin's Creed Odyssey (which sadly isn't a spin-off from Mario Odyssey) was leaked back on May 31st, all thanks to a promotional item: a Greek helmet keychain. In the past, we've seen attempts at VR, toys to life games, and some thinly veiled stabs at potential buy outs from megacorporations.

Considering this puts it out roughly a year after Assassin's Creed Origins, we can only assume that, at least for the time being, Ubisoft has chose to jump back into its annual release schedule for the series. Gameplay is great, but when you follow up a five minute parade sequence for Just Dance 2019 with lengthy clips and no concrete release info (Skull and Bones) other than a 2019 window - patience levels crack.

The Assassin's Creed series is well known for its historical backdrops. Expect Last of Us 2, Spider-Man and of course more from Hideo Kojima's perplexing Death Stranding. Now, we have a trailer and some significant gameplay details for the game.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey launches for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on 5th October 2018, and you can take a first proper look at the game in the trailers below.

One of the big showstoppers though is that Assassin's Creed Odyssey will have dialogue options and able to choose what your character is saying.

The game will take place in Greece and its surrounding islands.
