Jackson Odell of 'The Goldbergs,' 'Judy Moody' Dead at 20

Former teen actor and successful songwriter Jackson Odell has died, according to media reports.

Lt. Rudy Molano said Sunday that the 20-year-old was found unresponsive Friday at his home in the Los Angeles suburb of Tarzana.

No cause of death has been given at this time, but an autopsy is reportedly pending. Authorities initially reported that their were no signs of foul play when his body was found. He also made an appearance on Modern Family.

O'Dell is perhaps best known for playing Ari Caldwell on The Goldbergs.

He also appeared in the 2011 movie "Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer" with actress Heather Graham.

Odell's family released a statement to TMZ: "The Odell family has lost our beloved son and brother, Jackson Odell".

He began acting at age 12.

He was also a musician and wrote several songs for the 2018 film Forever Your Girl. "Our family will always carry that truth forward", the statement continued.
