Lenovo K5 Note (2018) and Lenovo A5 Smartphones With Big Batteries Launched

Close up teases of the Lenovo Z5 seemed to show a bezel-less phone with no iPhone X-style notch in sight. The phone is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6739 processor along with 3GB of RAM. The Lenovo Z5's display sport rounded corners, and the phone's notch is not one of the smaller ones out there, it's somewhere between OnePlus 6's and iPhone X's notch in terms of width.

There isn't anything unique regarding the design.

After teasing that it would release an all-screen smartphone for several weeks, Lenovo revealed yet another Android handset with a display notch and chin.

Lenovo is also hopping on the AI camera trend, with a pair of 16 MP + 8 MP rear cameras and dual 8 MP cameras in the front, all powered by AI. The phone features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The Lenovo Z5 is made out of metal and glass, and it looks like a number of other smartphones that were introduced by Chinese OEMs in 2018.

Back to the Lenovo Z5, it has to be said that the device itself is certainly not a disappointment. The kicker is that a 90% screen-to-body ratio is actually pretty great, but any excitement that would normally exist for such a statistic is diminished by Lenovo and Cheng hyping the Z5 to be something it isn't. The Lenovo Z5 comes with a metallic frame and glass back body.

Under the hood, Lenovo Z5 runs Snapdragon 636 with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage on the base variant.

Coming to the camera department, the Lenovo Z5 features a dual camera setup at the back consisting of a 16MP primary camera with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection auto focus and an 8MP secondary camera.

For selfies, the Lenovo Z5 sports an 8MP front-facing camera with AI integration. It also features a 3,300mAh battery, wireless charging, a fingerprint sensor, and a USB Type-C port. On the software front, the phone runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based ZUI 3.9.

Let's talk about the pricing now. Lenovo is going to sell the 64GB model for 1,299 yuan or $200 in China and the 128GB model for 1,799 yuan or $280. It will be available in Aurora Blue, Black and Indigo Blue color options in China starting from June 12. With this launch, it is again clear that you shouldn't blindly believe any rumour about an upcoming phone.

It was also rumoured that the Lenovo Z5 could come with a whopping 4TB of internal storage. But after the official launch today, they all remain just rumours.
