OnePlus 6 Announced with Flagship Specs Starting At $529

The company OnePlus presented at a press event in London its new flagship smartphone, OnePlus 6. It also has features a glass back and is likely to be available in four variants - mirror black, midnight black, silk white and Avengers black. However, with the OnePlus 6 Avengers Infinity War Edition, the back of the device has a carbon fibre finish underneath the glass. The Bullets Wireless headphones also come with dust and water resistivity, which means these, can be used outdoors as well. There are also 5 Avengers wallpapers inside, and an Iron Man-inspired rugged case outside. It has a FullHD+ display 6.28-inch Gorilla Glass 5 screen that has a resolution of 2280 X 1080 pixels and an AMOLED panel. The OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Limited Edition offers 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

On the camera front, the OnePlus 6 sports 16+20MP dual rear cameras with OIS+EIS support and can record videos up to 4K@60fps. One major change in the camera department is the 19% increase in the size of the primary sensor in the vertically placed dual camera setup.

There's the fingerprint scanner below the twin rear cameras and using the front camera this phone can execute an iPhone X-like face unlock, though it's nowhere as secure or accurate under low light.

In the past, the company has been good about delivering monthly security updates for supported devices, but the length of support is a total crap shoot. The OnePlus 6 has been launched in India and the device is Amazon.in exclusive.

OnePlus 6 Camera and Sensor

Coming to the all-important price, the OnePlus 6 comes in three variants in India and will be sold online exclusively on Amazon from 21 May. The OnePlus 6 is fueled by a 3300mAh battery and supports OnePlus's proprietary Dash Charge fast charging technology.

The OnePlus 6 lands in the U.S. on May 22, starting at $529 with 6GB or RAM (still a lot for a phone) and 64GB of storage. The OnePlus will succeed the OnePlus 5T as the flagship product from OnePlus for 2018. As announced by OnePlus, and reported by The Verge, the Avengers will be getting their own special edition OnePlus 6 phones.

After numerous leaks, rumors, and renders of the phone were circulated on social media for months, the company finally launched its most-teased smartphone ever with a host of features. You'll get 8GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage, along with plenty of Marvel Studios highlight flares, for that price tag.
