Pochettino to hold talks over Spurs' future direction

Mauricio Pochettino appeared to suggest that his future at Tottenham Hotspur is linked to how the club approach the summer transfer window, as he called upon the chairman, Daniel Levy, to "be fearless and take risks".

Pochettino once again refused to be drawn on whether he will remain at the Spurs helm next season, after his side's thrilling win over Leicester at Wembley sealed a third-place Premier League finish.

But the club have not won a trophy since the League Cup in 2008, and have spent less than their top-six rivals.

"You can not create dreams thinking you are not going to achieve these dreams".

"It is the moment the club need to take risks".

Pochettino has been widely praised for breaking into the top four on a consistent basis, but insists much more needs to be done if he is to lift his first trophy as a coach next season. Of course the ambition of the club will be to win and maybe now we are little bit disappointed and frustrated because we are close, but that is only the first step - to challenge with the big sides that invest more than us.

"We need to talk a lot between us and the club", said Pochettino. "We need to think that our reality is different, and our fans need to think and be happy and support us, because we are not this type of club that is going to invest insane money". I am going to celebrate with my people. It's not only the big clubs.

Whilst PSG interest would be sensible for the French club (as we've already explained), there's been hardly anything on this in the usually well informed Parisian media.

"But I am sure Daniel is going to listen to me and we can create together to help the team move on".

"I have a contract and I respect my contract", Puel told reporters.

'I repeat my last press conference, today 100 per cent I feel I am here'. You need to be fearless.

He added: "In football you never know".
