"We didn't do anything clean, we didn't do anything quickly", Jets head coach Paul Maurice said.

As they did in Game One, the Jets came out firing on all cylinders but Fleury withstood the barrage while Tomas Tatar and Jonathan Marchessault each counted to give the Golden Knights a 2-0 first period lead.

To make it even worse, between the three of them they did not record a single shot on goal.

"Everybody sees the opportunity here", Marchessault said.

Connor Hellebuyck had 25 saves for the Jets.

Winnipeg no longer has home-ice advantage in the series. Fleury was peppered with shots and stopped five unsafe ones in the first three minutes.

Whoever is in the lineup, they will have to play significantly better than they did in Game 1 if Vegas has any chance of stealing a game in Canada. Game 5 will be back in Winnipeg on Sunday afternoon.

"Everybody is contributing to the success of the team". After winning the first game in the third round of the Stanley Cup playoffs on Saturday, they dropped Game 2 to the Golden Knights 3-1 at Bell MTS Place. "He wasn't feeling well, " Gallant said. We knew what to expect tonight.

"We have tons of confidence in this locker room", Haula said.

The Jets had life with a power play to start the final period.

The buzz, however, lasted just 88 seconds before Marchessault collected his second goal of the game with a nifty backhand over Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck. "It's the conference final so you're going to have two of the best teams playing each other and both teams are aggressive, both teams don't sit back when they have the lead". "I tried to do that tonight".

There's a reason the Jets won three road games in their seven-game series victory over the Predators.

Tatar did have 34 points (20 goals, 14 assists) in 82 combined games for the Golden Knights and Red Wings during the regular season.
