Liverpool identify Bordeaux winger Malcom as a summer target

As per reports from the Daily Mail, Liverpool are plotting a move for FC Bordeaux's Brazilian winger Malcom in the summer transfer window.

Jurgen Klopp is keen to add more attacking options to his squad this summer to ease the burden on Liverpool's "Holy Trinity" of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.

The trio have been instrumental in firing the Reds to the final in Kiev later this month where they will face off against Real Madrid, who have won the competition in three of the last four campaigns.

Manchester United had mentioned a transfer with Bordeaux within the winter, whereas Tottenham and Arsenal having additionally monitored his progress.

The winger has been in good form for Bordeaux this season, scoring 10 goals and making six assists in 33 Ligue 1 games for the French side.

The report claims that Malcom is one of the names on the German's shortlist, which also includes Bayer Leverkusen's Leon Bailey and Christian Pulisic of Borussia Dortmund.

Malcom is valued at around £40million and Bordeaux have essentially confirmed he will be sold this summer.

'It is the reason we bought this player in the first place, to eventually sell him in between seasons'.

L'Equipe recently linked Liverpool with an interest in Lyon attacking midfielder Nabil Fekir, but it seems Jurgen Klopp has other targets in mind as well.

But the player's father has dismissed the rumours by saying: 'Nabil in Liverpool? 'I hear there are preparations, stuff like that...
