Alves out of World Cup as Neymar nears return

Last summer PSG officially announced the transfer of Neymar for 222 million euros.

There is huge news coming out of France at the moment, and it is not that Paris Saint Germain have secured their 7 league title and their 12 Coupe De France but that their star man Neymar is ready to leave the French capital in favour of a return to Spain.

However, Barcelona-based Don Balon claimed the Portuguese and coach Zinedine Zidane are against the move for Neymar.

Five years later, Real Madrid were close again, but a €40 million payment to Neymar's father from Barcelona pushed him in the direction of the Camp Nou. "I will not go into that".

Neymar, according to reports in a section of Spanish media, has met Real bosses on March 22 during his visit to Vinicius Junior, who has signed for the Spanish side in 2017.

"Neymar will be very important next year for Real Madrid", Breitner told German station Sport 1, in quotes picked up by Marca. A similar story made the front cover of AS on Wednesday morning with the headline "Neymar is negotiating with Real Madrid" and a similar figure quoted. Club president Josep Maria Bartomeu told Catalan radio station RAC 1: "I was surprised how Neymar left".

'They deserve it and that's what we are going to try to do tomorrow. "We have new projects and there is no interest".

However, there have been reports of the Brazilian's unhappiness at the club from early in his PSG career, per Sky Sports' Peter Smith.

Neymar's agent Zahavi suggested that there is no release clause in Neymar's current contract with the French champions. However, Real Madrid will be looking at players of Neymar's quality, and probably brand, to sign in the transfer window.

Juan Carlos Unzue, the Celta Vigo manager says: "Zidane could put a team out that is not similar at all to the one that played at the Sanchez Pizjuan" as the guessing game continues regarding the Real manager's team selection. The Brazilian Football Confederation has confirmed in a statement his knee injury makes it "impossible to call Dani Alves for the period of preparation, friendlies and, consequently, the World Cup", The Guardian reported.

But not everyone is convinced. We'll work on things, but with the ball.

Former Real player Ronaldo, meanwhile, believes it is impossible for Neymar to join Real now.
