Restoring the Roar: Frank Ragnow picked by Detroit Lions

With quite a few players still available who would've made sense, the Lions opted to pass on fan favorite Harold Landry who was falling and chose to address the run game by selecting the tough Center, Frank Ragnow from Arkansas at #20.

On Thursday night, the Detroit Lions surprised quite a few people by selecting a center with the 20th overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft. With the draft pick, the Lions likely will move Graham Glasgow to center and insert Ragnow at guard.

Analytics website Pro Football Focus rated Ragnow the top center after each of his last two seasons in college.

Former Arkansas coach Bret Bielema, who has now produced six first round offensive linemen, said on multiple occasions that Ragnow was the best offensive linemen he ever coached.

Both Lions tackle spots are solidified with Taylor Decker and Rick Wagner.

"He's fantastic", Ragnow said. "His size, power, and anchor is a big plus as is his ability to swing over to guard if needed." . Stay tuned to Full Press Lions as the draft unfolds and watch Ragnow's highlights below.
