What time does the 2018 NFL Draft start?

The 2018 NFL Draft is shaping up to be unlike any draft in recent memory. It's been this way for some time.

The former Oklahoma Sooner standout quarterback was selected 1st overall by the Cleveland Browns in Dallas Thursday evening. The uncertainty is simply because of Browns General Manager John Dorsey keeping tight-lipped about what he's doing with the top choice. He's No. 1 in six of the nine mock drafts. But like in any sport, the draft rumors are already breaking the internet. "But if you don't have the mindset that you're the best quarterback in this draft, you're not going to fare well in this league". Naturally, our hope is for the Browns to get it right, but. that's what we want every year.

Smith also noted that he spoke to at least one team that has a top-five draft pick and was told they had not heard about the tweets and had "never heard anything but positives" about the player. Mayfield, the 2017 Heisman Trophy victor, was starting quarterback for the Lake Travis High School Cavaliers before moving on to Texas Tech in 2013 and Oklahoma in 2014. Cleveland went out and made big moves this offseason, acquiring quarterback Tyrod Taylor from the Buffalo Bills. So, i think they're also in a spot where if somebody is aggressively trying to get up to get somebody, I think they are a team that is in ideal position to say 'Ok we'll slide back a bit to get more assets, " said Jeremiah.

Contenders include USC's Sam Darnold, Wyoming's Josh Allen, Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield, who hails from Austin, and Louisville's Lamar Jackson.

The Jets taking Rosen over Darnold seems unlikely. It depends on who you ask.

Staying at 14, the Packers have a chance at one of those three, but they're definitely better off trading up.

Other top prospects include Penn State running back, Saquon Barkley, Notre Dame offensive guard Quenton Nelson, NC State pass rusher Bradley Chubb and Alabama safety Minkah Fitzpatrick. If Arizona stands pat, they could get leapfrogged again. No matter what your feelings are for this draft, it always helps being surrounded by other fans indulging in some great food and alcoholic beverages.

The 2018 NFL Draft begins at 8:00 p.m. ET on ESPN and the NFL Network.
