Wenger expects Lacazette to hit top form

The 26-year-old France global is back after knee surgery and is likely to feature in Arsenal's Europa League quarter-final clash with CSKA Moscow, which gets underway on Thursday at the Emirates.

Arsenal welcome CSKA Moscow to the Emirates tonight in the first leg of their quarter-final before travelling to the Russian capital next week.

The tie comes against the backdrop of political posturing between the British government and the Kremlin over the poisoning of ex-spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter in Salisbury last month.

'Honestly, nobody knows really what's going on, ' he said.

"It looks more like diplomatic relations between England and Russian Federation at the moment are a bit complicated. For me this tie is 50/50". Will he last the whole game?

Aubameyang has already netted 5 goals for the Gunners in six matches after his January deadline day move from Borussia Dortmund, while Lacazette who came back from an injury also has got his 10th league goal of the season. "It takes time to grieve and recover".

"It is good to have him back because it gives us different opportunities", said Wenger, as reported by Sky Sports.

'You accept the problems you face and you sort them out and you solve them. On that front I believe that is positive.

"There is some extra pressure to do extremely well in this competition, but that is part of being where we are".

"Stoke played well. And secondly we didn't play well in the first half, at all".

The striker had been going through a hard time in England following a promising start to the season where he scored four goals in six league appearances, but went eight games without scoring from December to January.

Arsenal's Alexandre Lacazette attends a training session.

"Lacazette is ready to start, yes", added Wenger.
