Jose Mourinho warns Real Madrid off David de Gea

Madrid continue to be linked with a move for Spain's No 1 but Mourinho advised the European champions to look elsewhere.

The 27-year-old has been voted United's best player for three years running, and he's enjoyed yet another sensational campaign.

The Special One has informed La Liga giants to start looking for other alternatives rather than cutting a deal with Manchester United in order to land the Spaniard at Santiago Bernabeu.

While Madrid came perilously close to signing De Gea ahead of the 2015/16 campaign, the deal collapsed as paperwork was submitted after the summer transfer window had closed.

"I see him [De Gea] here".

PSG, like Real, are also keen on De Gea, but the French side may instead turn their attention Chelsea stopper Thibaut Courtois.

"I don't know what Madrid's intentions are, but if I was them I would be thinking about another player".

"I told him after the match, what I saw today was the best goalkeeper in the world", said Mourinho, via the Independent.

United next face Sevilla in their Champions League Round of 16 second leg. De Gea has been fruitful for United this season with the highest number of clean sheets in the Premier League.
