A "Music Only" Cut of THE LAST JEDI is Coming

"That's the closest thing we'll get to a sex scene in a Star Wars movie". Now that The Last Jedi, the second part of Disney and Lucasfilm's new Star Wars trilogy, is past us, people have immediately begun speculating onto what the closing chapter will be about.

As the audience laughed, Mark Hamill - who plays Luke Skywalker - added: "I didn't even get that".

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is now available to own as a digital download and the film's director Rian Johnson has revealed a cool bonus feature that you can check out.

"You are with me through thick and thin and the highs and the lows and everywhere in between".

THR also notes that Johnson's mentality came from a more selfish place. "I think making a movie is the same whether we make Brick or we make Star Wars", he said. "Myths are meant to help us understand the most hard transitions in life".

The 66-year-old Californian has appeared in some 70 movies which were nothing to do with Lucasfilm's space opera, not to mention nearly 200 TV shows, but will always be thought of as ingenue farm boy turned pan-galactic lightsaber-wielding hero Luke Skywalker.

Johnson also spent some time reflecting on Fisher, who he said never got a chance to see the final film before her passing. Obviously, he said a lot (because he can't help himself). And Mark Hamill is not wrong when he tells Frank Oz that the puppeteer has not aged in the span of three decades. As it pertained to the characterization of Luke Skywalker, it seems he did what he wanted. Hamill replied, "He's always right".

The home release of the Rian Johnson-directed movie includes a "silent film" version that keeps the music and the visuals and strips everything else away. He makes it clear that he's a fan first and filmmaker second.

In The Director and the Jedi, Johnson says that if he was a fan, and not the director, "The only thing I would really want [from The Last Jedi] is a good movie that delights me in ways I didn't expect". Just that incredible score.
