Miami Beach Police Investigating Video of Horse Panicking Inside Club

Video of a panicked horse inside a packed Florida nightclub has created an internet storm that resulted in the venue being stripped of its business license.

Miami is known for its party atmosphere, but one nightclub's patrons were shocked when a horse was brought inside, bucking and throwing off the bikini-clad rider.

In the posting, leezamariejay calls out the Mokai Lounge, 235 23rd St., in all capital letters, calling the act "animal cruelty" and then says, "I will not stop posting and spamming everyone's feed until this club has been penalized for their crime".

Colleen O'Brien, Vice President of PETA, added, "We know horese are skittish animals who don't belong among the pounding music, shouting crowds and flashing lights of a nightclub".

A man pulled the scared horse out of the club.

It's likely that some clubgoers at Mokai Lounge in South Beach thought they were hallucinating when a horse entered the bar on Thursday.

When the incident took place is not clear.

"Miami Dade PD's animal experts have located the horse that was at Mokai", Miami Beach police spokesman Ernesto Rodriguez said in a statement. This is inhumane and deserves serious attention ASAP'. 'I've reached out to local law enforcement and am hoping to hear back.

In today's world of weird news we have for you a story from Miami involving a horse. "Idiots!" a user named Melanie A. posted.

It's not the first time a horse has been inside a nightclub. In a joint investigation with Miami Beach Code Enforcement the Miami Police reviewed the information that was popping up all over social media yesterday.

In 2015, she defended her action in a letter to the Financial Times.
