The Division 2 Announced by Ubisoft

However, two years later, it's time to move forward with the next chapter in The Division universe. Stay tuned for more info at E3 2018!

Just moments ago the above image was spotted on Ubisoft's official website, by way of this link, now taken down, alongside of a German press release. We ran it through the handy dandy Google translator, and this is what showed up. Although the game stumbled at launch, a year's worth of updates and post-release content helped The Division realize its full potential.

Details are light right now, but Trusted Reviews has compiled everything we know about The Division 2 including all the latest news, release date, wishlist and more. In a livestream, the company revealed the game and confirmed it's being developed by the same primary studios as the first entry, including Massive Entertainment, Red Storm, and Ubisoft Reflections. "More importantly, we can also invest all the experience we've accumulated over the past two years in this sequel to make sure everything is going well".

"But that is not all". That will also include an enhancement patch for Xbox One X. There will also be four new missions available in "legendary" difficulty, for instance, and an additional pair in the 1.82 "parsnip" update.

In addition, as of June 2018, players will also be able to play "Crests", which are specific achievements that will allow them to unlock The Division 2 rewards.

Massive is planning a Year 2 celebration for The Division, which echoes the live-services structure of Ubisoft's Rainbow Six: Siege behemoth.

Ubisoft do not keep their hype trains running as long as they once did; Watch Dogs 2 was announced at E3 2016 and released later that same year, in contrast to the two year wait after announcement for its predecessor, and the nearly three year wait for The Division.
