In addition to making Fortnite's next Battle Pass a free item, it also comes with 30 more tiers of loot.

Fortnite fans will have to fork out 950 V-Bucks for the season 3 Battle Pass, and won't be able to pay directly for it with real-world money.

Buying the Season 3 Battle Pass now will net players a batch of in-game rewards, including a new Mission Specialist Outfit. In Season 3 that will happen on the client side.

One thing that Fortnite has over other Battle Royale competitors is its Battle Pass, which offers new customization items for players.

Pete Nub, technical lead of Fortnite: Battle Royale at Epic Games, confirmed back blings will have no effect on actual gameplay but instead will be purely cosmetic.

AND, with the start of Season 2 the game was brought offline for a few hours to push through the new update and the games first Battle Pass.

There are 30 extra tiers in season 3, which takes the total number of tiers up to 100, meaning plenty more items for players to unlock.

For the uninitiated, Fortnite's Battle Pass is a way to unlock various cosmetic items like banners, outfits, emoticons and more in the popular battle royale game.

As of writing, it is unknown when the Desert Eagle will be added into Fortnite for Season 3, or if the proposed character will be exclusive to Battle Pass owners.

Weekly challenges will remain active for the entire season, however, so latecomers will still be able to get everything. With all of the fun skins and updates that have come and gone, it's not unusual to wonder what could possibly be next.

All that we know so far is that the game will be transitioning from a medieval theme to more of a space age theme. "James Bond."
